How long does your hair have to be for extensions?
There are a few factors that determine the length of hair required for extensions:
- Tape-in extensions: For tape-in extensions, your hair should be at least 3-4 inches long to properly adhere the extensions.
- Clip-in extensions: Clip-in extensions can be applied to shorter hair, ideally around 2-3 inches in length.
- Sew-in or weave extensions: Hair needs to be a bit longer for sew-in or weave extensions, typically around 4-6 inches long.
- Bonded or fusion extensions: For bonded or fusion extensions, your hair should be around 4-5 inches long to properly secure the extensions without causing damage to your natural hair.
