How to Tie a Tie

Follow these instructions to tie a tie:

1. Start with the wide end of the tie on your right and the narrow end on your left.
2. Cross the wide end over the narrow end.
3. Bring the wide end up through the loop between the collar and the tie.
4. Bring the wide end back down.
5. Loop the wide end behind the narrow end.
6. Bring the wide end back over the front of the knot.
7. Pass the wide end up through the loop between the collar and the tie.
8. Hold the front of the knot with one hand and gently pull the wide end down to tighten the knot.
9. Adjust the knot and the length of the tie as needed.
10. You're all set! Your tie is now properly tied.
