How to Make Lychee Jelly for Bubble Tea
- Ingredients:
- 1 can of lychees in syrup
- 1 packet of agar-agar powder (or gelatin if preferred)
- Water
- Sugar (optional, depending on sweetness of lychee syrup)
- Instructions:
- Drain the lychees from the can and reserve the syrup.
- Cut the lychees into small, bite-sized pieces.
- In a saucepan, combine the lychee syrup with water (as per agar-agar packet instructions) and bring to a boil.
- Add the agar-agar powder to the saucepan and stir continuously until it dissolves completely.
- Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes, then add sugar to taste if desired.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the lychee pieces, stirring gently to mix them in.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and let it cool and set in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours or overnight.
- Once set, cut the jelly into small cubes and they are ready to be added to your bubble tea!
