How to Make Haitian Cake
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture alternating with the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
