How do you measure caster wheels?

First, remove the caster wheel from the item it is attached to.
Place the caster wheel on a flat surface with the wheel facing down.
Use a ruler or measuring tape to measure the diameter of the wheel. This is typically done from one edge of the wheel to the other, passing through the center.
Measure the width of the wheel by measuring from one side of the wheel to the other across the tread surface.
Determine the mounting type of the caster wheel (plate mount, stem mount, etc.)
Measure the mounting hole spacing by measuring the distance between the centers of the mounting holes (for plate mount caster wheels).
Measure the stem length and diameter (for stem mount caster wheels).
