Can I shave the day of laser hair removal?
It is generally recommended not to shave on the same day as laser hair removal, as the following reasons:
- Shaving can cause irritation to the skin, making it more sensitive to the laser treatment.
- Shaving can also leave tiny cuts or abrasions on the skin, which can increase the risk of infection after the laser treatment.
- Shaving can make it harder for the laser to target the hair follicles effectively, as the hair needs to be present for the laser to effectively target it.
It is usually recommended to shave a day or two before your laser hair removal appointment, as this will allow the hair to be at the optimal length for the treatment.
